Garissa Senator Yusuf Mohamed Haji now says that he is worried about his son Noordin Haji’s job as the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
In an interview on KTN News on Thursday, Senator Haji said that while they are proud of Noordin’s job, they are at the same time worried about his and family safety.
He said that Noordin Haji’s job as DPP is likely to pose danger to their (family) security.
“We are very proud of him and his work, but at the same time we are a bit worried because the work he is doing for his country will raise many enemies,” the Garissa senator said.
He noted that they keep on praying for his (DPP Haji) safety and the family as he leads the war on graft.
Senator Haji exuded confidence that his son in partnership with other agencies will get rid of graft and impunity in the country.
DPP Haji has been quoted saying that he is fearless in the war against graft.
Haji took over the DPP position in April last year and has since approved prosecution of several top government officials linked to graft.
