The case which had been scheduled for bond application will now be heard on January 30.

The widow, Jane Muthoni, had in previous attempts asked the court to review her bond terms due to her health saying she has never been taken to hospital despite a court order directing the prisons administration to do so.

According to her, she needs to acquire school fees for her children who are currently out of school.

During the last hearing Muthoni, lamented that she has been unable to pay her lawyers since her detention in 2016, adding that it was becoming hard to argue her case in court.

Kiru Principal Solomon Mwangi was murdered between November 6 and November 11, 2016 and his mutilated body was found in Kiahuria farm, Kiambu County.

Muthoni, a former Icaciri Girls Secondary School head teacher, is charged alongside Mr Isaac Ng’ang’a with killing Mr Mwangi in November 2016.

His hands were tied, face badly bruised and some of his teeth were missing.

The court has, on four occasions, denied her application for release on bond.
