Uasin Gishu KANU Secretary Oliver Kibor now wants deputy president William Ruto to forfeit his 2022 president bid and support Baringo Senator Gideon Moi bid.
He says Moi is fit to be the Country’s president due to his experience and that William Ruto has done nothing to the people of Rift Valley in his position as deputy president.
He gave an example of the construction of the bypass which has taken ages to be completed and farmers' issues problems forcing them to demonstrate year in year out yet the problem has never been solved.
“As Uasin Gishu KANU secretary am calling upon William Ruto to step aside and support Moi presidential bid since Gideon is clean and is preferred by more Kenyans since he is neutral and means well to the Country,” said Kibor.
He spoke to the press in Eldoret town on Saturday where he called on Kenyans across the board to support his presidential bid.
“As Kalenjins we have decided that it's Gideon Moi because he does not have corruption issues, even if he is supposed to be cleared by Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) he will be the first person to be cleared compared to William Ruto who has many hurdles,” added the Uasin Gishu KANU secretary.
He said they will campaign door to door county to county campaigning for the Baringo Senator to be Country’s 5th president.
