A youthful MCA has dared courts to have him arrested and his colleagues for debating on alleged Sh24 million scandal at the county government of Nyamira.
Visibly angered, nominated MCA George Mosiori on Tuesday insisted that all assembly members are ready to be jailed until the money in question is recovered by authorities.
"The courts should now come for us, arrest us and have us locked in prison. They should also ensure the minister under question is also locked together with us," Mosiori said.
To restore sanity in Nyamira, Mosiori added, courts shouldake reasonable judgments. He insisted that the MCAs are ready to mobilise residents and have the office of the Public Service Management minister Bernard Osumo locked.
"If they fail to arrest us, we shall mobilise residents, lock the offices of the minister until we get justice. We want the Sh24 million even if it means disbursing it to all residents."
Last month, the assembly passed an impeachment motion against Mr Osumo over gross misconduct and abuse of office but he has since been granted orders barring the assembly from discussing him for three months.
Majority Leader Duke Masira last week vowed to move on with the impeachment, accusing the court of sabotaging oversight roles of the assembly.
"As the assembly, we have a role of ensuring prudence in managing of our resources. Nobody can purport to take that from us. The impeachment motion shall go on as planned," he said.
