Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika has urged residents to be active in public participation platforms so that their ideas can be incorporated in the development projects.
Speaking during a youth event in Nakuru's Nyayo Garden on Friday, the vocal legislator called on the residents to take part in public affairs.
"There's no harm sacrificing one day to make the decisions that will affect your welfare. Take part in the public participation platforms so that you become aware of what is going on in your affairs," she said.
She further reiterated her criticism of the governor's decision to acquire the county buses as a misplaced priority. "
"I still believe that there are better priorities to be given attention like healthcare, unlike the acquisition of the county buses. We must have the right priorities in public service," she said.
