Raila Odinga's trip to Indian capital New Delhi this year seems to have had immediate impact to his Kisumu backyard.
While represented the government, Kisumu would however have investors bulding a a factory that will produce bi degradable bags thus environmental friendly.
"I received a delegation from India who are in the country to introduce bio degradable bags that will go along way in helping environmental conservation efforts.
"The team was led by Dr Raju S.Gannavarapu and they manufacture bags using vegetables, cassava, maize and other products" he said after meeting the team at his Capitol Hill.
Also present were Nyando MP Jared Okello, who happened to have accompanied him to Indian then and Deputy Governor Mathews Owili.
Before the handshake, Kisumu was worst hit by post election violence in which Raila had claimed victory in 2017.
The former Prime Minister is keen to develop his Luo Nyanza backyard before quitting politics.
