Citizen TV news anchor Hussein Mohamed found it difficult getting an answer to what seemed to be a simple question from former Kiambu Governor William Kabogo.
While interviewing him on his News Night program on Tuesday, Mohamed wanted to know whether Kabogo plans to enter the Kiambu gubernatorial race again.
The former governor was however not willing to give a straight answer to the question he was asked.
“Do you plan to go back to Kiambu as the third governor?” Hussein asked.
“Why not ask if I want to become the fifth President of Kenya?” Kabogo responded.
The former Juja MP who now calls himself the President of Independent candidates claimed that he is enjoying life outside politics.
“I am busy with my life. I am busy with my family. I am busy participating in making Kenya better,” he said.
The politician gracefully exited the political scene after being floored by current Kiambu governor Ferdinand Waititu during the 2017 general elections.
Before that, Waititu beat Kabogo during the Jubilee Party nominations, prompting the former MP to defend his seat as an independent candidate.
On most occasions, he uses his social media platforms to poke holes in governor Waititu’s administration. In fact, he is one of Waititu’s biggest critics.
