The incident happened on Wednesday in Omonono village, North Borabu in Nyamira County.

Confirming the incident, area police boss Michael Lesmum said the suspect Cyrus Onyonka together with other thugs have been breaking into houses of locals to steal household items.

"The suspect was found in possession of stolen cups, plats, spoons among other household items. Angry members of the public squeezed his manhood thoroughly but, luckily police who were on patrol rescued him before he could lose his manhood," he said.

Lesmum warned the public against beating and killing suspects saying any criminal must be surrendered to authorities for court processing.

"The public should know killing suspects will destroy exhibits. Criminals belong to jail and not graves," he added.

He said the suspect will be taken to court to be charged.

"Onyonka must name all the thugs he has been stealing with so that they can be arrested to be arraigned in court," said Lesmum.
