Embattled Canadian based lawyer Miguna Miguna has yet again accused Raila Odinga of betraying those who help hime in the time of need.
For five years, Kisii born businessman Don Bosco Gichana has languished in Arusha prison with prosecution failing to prive money laundering and fraud charges against him.
In a tweet, Migina, who was also exiled after swearing-in Raila as People's President, lamented that Raila could not even use his close ties with Tanzania President John Magufuli to secure Gichana's freedom.
"Mr. Don Bosco Gichana was @RailaOdinga's blossom friend leading up to the 2007 election. It was Don Bosco Gichana who bought @RailaOdinga the (in)famous Hammer.
"Yet @RailaOdinga has never publicly asked @MagufuliJP his "friend" to release Don Bosco Gichana. #FreeDonBoscoGichana," he wrote.
Over the weekend, Raila was subjected to tough questions over Gichana's detention when he toured Nyamira and Kisii Counties.
At Kisii on Saturday, Dagoretti North MP Simba Arati tasked Raila to pledge support in the fight for Gichana's release.
Sources close to Raila intimated that the former PM would meet Magufuli on Tuesday where Bosco's detention would be discussed in lengthy.
The ODM leader left the country on Tuesday morning and is scheduled to attend funeral to Magufuli's sister, Monica Joseph.
