Tourism Cabinet Secretary Najib Balala is set to appear before the Parliamentary Environment committee on Tuesday to explain the death of 11 black rhinos.
The CS is expected to provide more information about the translocation of the endangered species.
Reports indicate that the rhinos died due to poor handling of the entire process.
Kenya Wildlife Services translocated 14 black rhinos from Nairobi and Lake Nakuru National Parks to Tsavo East National Park as part of its conservation efforts.
11 rhino died under unclear circumstances, an incident that forced Balala to suspend top KWS officials.
A tough-talking Balala explained that deaths were due to multiple stress syndrome that was intensified by salt poisoning, dehydration, starvation, a proliferation of opportunistic bacteria.
However, Balala was criticized for suspending the KWS officials. It is alleged that senior officials were against the translocation.
