Turbo Sub County Director of Education Kuyo Ole Saoinah says the form one selection exercise was completed and every student will receive his/her admission letter from the Ministry of Education.

According to Ole Saoinah, some parents have been forced to pay up to Sh20,000 to the conmen who promise to change the schools which their children had been called to join.

“There are some conmen moving around town telling parents that they will help them change or admit their students to some national or county schools which is a total lie. Those people are only interested in making money,” he said.

Ole Saoinah noted that it is only the Ministry of Education that has powers to change a school for any student.

He said parents are easily falling into the con men's prey because they have decided to look for their preferred schools for their children.

“I want to tell parents that all schools are the same be it Alliance girls, Paul Boit or Turbo girls. If your child has been called to join a particular school take him/her there,” Ole Saoinah advised.
