Wavinya Ndeti is among the most respected politicians in Ukambani region.
She is the former Kathiani Member of Parliament.
Ndeti is the former Chama Cha Uzalendo party leader which she ditched to join former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka's Wiper ahead of 2017 general elections.
She was among the political leaders in Machakos County who ran for their safety in a political rally.
This is after a snake appeared in their political rally and disrupted the function before it later went on.
Residents and other political leaders present were forced to rise on their feet to safety.
The poisonous snake was said to have appeared after Ndeti arrived and took her seat at the function's venue.
The unusual incident made the majority of those in attendance including the then CCU's party leader Wavinya Ndeti panic.
The unlucky snake was later killed and burnt by the enraged residents.
The function, however, resumed after the invited guests were assured of their safety.
The rally was intended to cement Ndeti's political base in the region in a bid to unseat Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua during the 2017 polls.
The incident has been linked to harsh weather condition in Machakos County.
It’s also said that the semi-arid nature of the county is conducive for breeding of the poisonous snakes.
Among the political leaders who were present during the incident are Chama Cha Uzalendo party Secretary General Saja Philipe, Davies Musau the organizing Secretary and Machakos County Assembly deputy speaker Nganga wa Ngangani.
