Gatundu Souh Member of Parliament (MP) Moses Kuria has promised to hold a national youth dialogue conference invloving university students in honour of the late Moi University student Ivy Wangechi.
In a post on his Facebook after attending Ivy's burial in Nyeri on Thursday, the Jubilee MP said his Moses Kuria Foundation will partner with student leaders from all universities to organise forums for youth to dialogue and discuss issues facing them.
He said the forums will culminate to a national dialogue for young university students.
The MP said the only way to find out, understand and solve issues facing young people is to deeply engage and involve them in dialogue.
"There is need to support young people initiate youth to youth dialogue if we are to get to the bottom of the very serious issues facing the youth today," the MP posted.
Kuria also urged parents, guardians and leaders to create time and listen to young people's untold stories.
The Gatundu South MP condemned Ivy's brutal murder and vowed to help the family seek justice
The late Ivy was a sixth year medical student at the Moi University.
She was hacked to death by Naftali Kinuthia, a 28 year-old man suspected to have been her lover.
The suspect is said to have travelled all the way from Thika to Eldoret to commit the crime.
Kinuthia is under police custody and is expected to undergo mental examination before pleading to the murder charge.
Ivy's brutal murder has been condemned by Kenyans and leaders across the country.
