Nyamira Governor John Nyagarama is undoubtedly one of the most hardworking governors in Kenya. This is largely attributed to the manner in which he is actively implementing development programs and always getting on the ground to have a test of what the Nyamira people want.
One fact that cannot go unnoticed is Governor John Nyagarama’s relationship with the deputy president and the Jubilee government as a whole.
His loyalty to the Deputy President William Ruto is definitely a huge advantage to him and it puts him in a good position to probably land a job in the next government.
This being his last term in office which means he is constitutionally barred from vying for the position again, his relationship with the Nyamira electorate is so nice that the electorate is ever ready to stand with him at all costs.
He is a leader who has a sense plus passion for devolution and is fond of involving all stakeholders in implementing most of his development programs.There are a number of options governor Nyagarama can take after his second term ends.
He might opt to maintain or even improve his loyalty to the deputy president and the president so as to get political favour from the DP just in case the DP wins the 2022 presidential race.
Consecutively, Nyagarama can decide to vie for another position within Nyamira county since his political ideology is well known and accepted by the Nyamira people.Nyagarama has worked extensively in the tea sector in Nyanza and Rift Valley, serving as a director at various tea factories such as Nyansiongo Tea Factory Company Limited and Chai Trading Company Limited and representing Nyamira in the Kenya Tea Development Agency (KTDA).
John Nyagarama has also served as a director and chairman of Kenya Tea Packers Limited (KETEPA).All in all, a political figure of governor Nyagarama’s ability still has the power and energy to lead in other positions after his mandate as Nyamira governor comes to an end in 2022 .
