Kitutu Chache South MP Richard Onyonka said it is only God who will save Obado from police custody.

"Obado has been abandoned by ODM party. He should put his hopes to God who can intervene to have him released on bond next week Monday when he will appear in court," he said on Wednesday during an interview at Egesa Fm.

The lawmaker, however, maintained that Obado should learn not to rush in making political decisions in the future.

"Obado dumped PDP party which sponsored him during the 2013 polls and joined ODM which doesn't believe in transparency. ODM leadership has been celebrating his arrest after he was linked to the brutal murder of Sharon Otieno. Once he comes out on bail, he should consider reuniting with his former party," he said.

Onyonka said if Obado remains in ODM, he should not oppose Raila since after he opposed the party's decision to give Ochillo Ayacko a direct ticket to vie for the Migori senatorial by-election scheduled for Monday, October 8, 2018, he became the enemy in the party.
