Garissa Governor Ali Korane has pleaded with residents to expose terror agents and their sympathisers.
Korane wants residents to be proactive and help security agencies in the fight against terrorists and terror-related activities.
According to Governor Korane, instances of terror activities in Garissa are now scaring away investors.
The Jubilee governor said that terrorism will not be won if there are people sympathizing with it.
“My passionate plea is to Garissa residents to be proactive and expose terror agents to security personnel,” he said on Wednesday during a briefing with journalists in Garissa Town.
The governor said that terrorists are plotting to cause fear by staging terror attacks.
While condemning last Saturday terror attack on Road Cross staff in Garissa, Governor Korane pleaded with security agencies to heighten patrols.
“We need more security on the boards in order to tame attacks,” he said.
The governor asked security personnel not to tire up in the fight against terror agents.
Garissa is among counties in Northern Kenya that are prone to deadly terror attacks.
Last month, North Eastern leaders vowed to intensify the war against terrorists and their sympathizers.
