Deputy President William Ruto's visit to Malava and Mumias in Western Kenya on Sunday has precipitated mixed reactions among Gusii local politicians.
The politicians claimed that DP Ruto is focused in winning Presidency in 2022 unlike the opposition coalition.
"Ruto has been traversing the country to woe Kenyans to vote for him in 2022 while opposition leaders led by the former Prime Minister Raila Odinga are sleeping on the job. Come 2022 when Ruto will be delcared President, opposition leaders will be at the streets protesting election rigging," said Thomas Nyangaresi, a former MCA aspirant in Bomariba.
Mr Nyangaresi challenged the opposition leaders to put more strategies in readiness to win presidency failure to which opposition should forget presidency.
Rachael Otundo, a local politician regretted that NASA leaders are deep in sleep instead of going deep into villages across the country to popularize themselves.
"Opposition must traverse the country as DP Ruto is doing if at all the opposition wants to win Presidency. Sleeping will cost NASA in 2022," she noted.
Daniel Apepo, Tabaka MCA confirmed that DP Ruto's presidency in 2022 is unstoppable.
"Not even Raila or Uhuru is going to stop DP Ruto from becoming President," said the Jubilee elected MCA.
