Nakoru argued that Matiang'i is a 'no nonsense' person in his work.

"I am scared Matiang'i may sack me if Nyamira locals will engage in dubious businesses such as making, selling illicit brews and parents especially women forcing their daughters to undergo outlawed FGM practice," said the county boss.

The commissioner maintained that he won't condone lazy police officers and local chiefs who will spare criminals.

Nakoru reiterated that Nyamira locals should report police officers and chief collecting bribes from illicit brewers.

"We must represent the government at the grassroots level well by ensuring that illegal businesses are stopped. Police have intensified security patrols across all corners in the county to ensure residents are celebrating Christmas without any fear," he added.

He urged local leaders not to buy chang'aa for locals to cause disturbance in the villages within the county saying no leader is above the rule law.

"Leaders should not use their money to buy chang'aa for residents so that they can cheer them in village. Anyone caught will be arrested to be arraigned in court," he added.
