A middle aged man is fighting for his life at Nyamira County Referral Hospital after he was attacked by angry locals on Chepng’ombe in Borabu, Nyamira County.
Isaac Manyange was caught with a widow having sex before being descended on by angry locals.
A Nyumba Kumi official Simon Machoni said Mr Manyange was warned against having an affair with Elizabeth Kemunto but he could not listen.
“Kemunto’s husband died 8 months ago and this made Manyange to rush into making love with her,” he said.
The official said Manyange was spotted by locals who had laid a trap on him entering Kemunto’s house on Saturday evening.
“Locals saw him entering Kemunto’s mud-walled house at 5pm but he never came out. Residents armed with crude weapons stormed the house where they mercilessly beat up Manyange,” he stated.
Area police boss Michael Lesmum confirmed the incident saying that the man was rescued by police officers who were on police patrol.
“Were it not for our officers, Manyange could be a past tense. He was rushed to Nyamira county hospital where is fighting for his life,” he said.
