Over the last 10 years, infrastructure development and curriculum progress at Maseno University had hit a standstill as poor services were rendered to students.
However, students now claim that they have witnessed rapid infrastructure and curriculum progress in the varsity under the reign of Vice Chancellor Julius Nyabundi.
Some of the development projects in the institution witnessed by the students include; tarmacking of the Siriba road, construction of new tuition block, construction of a new library, and the construction of medical and science laboratories.
He is also believed to end the era of student harassment by goons from the neighboring villages.
These developments elicited reactions from students and some of them are as follows:
@Rashid Nyambane: When I was in first year, some students used to have lectures under trees and tents but VC Nyabundi is dealing with it. Congratulation to him.
@Bento Akinyi: Gone are the days when goons used to harass other students, at least now there is liberty in the varsity.
@Enock Barare: Bwana VC, thank you for the tarmacking of the Siriba road, back then walking in it during rainy season was seriously annoying.
@Kiaro Nyambegera: God bless abundantly Bwana VC for the efforts you ensure in developing the varsity.
@Gilbert Ondiaki: Bwana VC, we request you to establish a huge research laboratory and thank you for the facilities we have now.
@Donjohson Omwamba: There has been a great improvement in our curriculum as every student is enabled by the institution to undertake the IT course.
@John Kiplangat: Long live, VC Julius Nyabundi, your efforts will always remain in our hearts.
