Former Nairobi governor aspirant Miguna Miguna is optimistic of winning yet again his deportation case which is headed to the Court of Appeal.
On Friday, High Court Judge Chacha Mwita awarded Miguna Sh7 million as compensation for violation of his fundamental rights through deportation to Canada in March.
The judge ordered Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i and the then Immigration Director General Gordon Kihalangwa to foot the bill 'jointly and severally, and personally' after he found them guilty of abuse of office.
The State was also ordered to pay him Sh207,000 as compensation for his damaged house in Karen, Nairobi.
But immediately after the landmark ruling, Attorney General Paul Kihara filed a notice of appeal expressing his dissatisfaction with the entire verdict.
The AG is on Monday expected to file a substantive appeal at the Nairobi's appellate court.
But fiery Miguna has dared the government to go ahead and appeal saying he was ready to face them in pursuit of justice.
In a tweet, he expressed hope of receiving even a greater compensation of more than 21 million.
"The Court of Appeal will increase my damages by 200%. Let them try. They will not win on earth, in hell or in heaven!" Miguna posted.
The exiled politician was represented by prominent lawyers who included John Khaminwa, Waikwa Wanyoike, Nelson Havi and Kamande Mucheke.
