The formation and registration of the new block come amid fights and confusion within the ruling Jubilee Party, on whose ticket the second-term county boss was elected into office.

Its successful registration was confirmed by the office of the Registrar of Political Parties, which has since gazetted it in the latest notice dated June 21, reports Capital FM.

With a grazing cow logo, the party joins many others fighting to dominate the vote-rich Mt Kenya region, which is currently wholly rallied behind President Uhuru Kenyatta's Jubilee Party.

It also comes amid an ongoing attempt to register the Transformation National Alliance Party (TNAP) party, which has been linked to Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria.

The formation of the party has been seen as an attempt to revive the defunct TNA Party which merged with 14 others to form Jubilee ahead of the 2017 polls.

It also comes only a week after Uhuru attacked Mt Kenya politicians undermining him and his political moves, warning to crush those who disrespect and insult him in rallies.

Uhuru advised politicians to shun the 2022 debate and concentrate on service delivery.

However, Wa Iria has not been vocal on the 2022 debate.
