Speaking on Friday, Ruto reiterated his initial claims that Raila's truce with President Uhuru Kenyatta early last year is a trick to kill the ruling Jubilee Party ahead of the 2022 polls.

Ruto was speaking during the Pastoralist Leadership Summit in Garissa Town, Garissa County.

He claimed that Raila has been using his closeness with Uhuru to engineer the collapse of the party, claiming that he has information regarding the same.

But the DP cautioned the former Prime Minister that his plot is in vain, maintaining that there are no loopholes that will allow him to break the block.

"He told his friends that he is in Jubilee to break the party. But he must know that that will never happen. He will not succeed," said the angry DP.

According to Ruto, the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party leader is out to popularize himself ahead of the elections which might see them battle for the presidency.

The DP tore into Raila for engaging in Letty politics bat a time when the nation is trying to concentrate on development, urging him to stop it.

"Let him forget about petty politics and pointing fingers, let him forget about the 2022 debate for now," he added.

But Raila has remained silent on his 2022 plans, insisting that it is still very early to make a declaration after 4 futile presidential shots in the past.
