News about the sudden death of Joseph Mochere alias Okebiro O'Mose has sent shock waves across Gusii even as his counterparts still fought to accept the reliably.
On Friday, the popular comedian cum radio presenter at Egesa FM was on air and as usual, entertained his followers.
But few hours later, Mr. Mochere would be pronounced dead at his Utawala home in what an insider says was domestic quarrel.
"They had a heated quarrel which is unusual though with the wife, Teresa Moraa.
"They engaged in physical fight and the wife ran away. He has beaten her thoroughly and she scampered for safety. Later, we learnt about the death," said a source, who spoke in confidence.
On her Facebook account, Mrs. Moraa hinted about possible differences with her husband even asking for guidance.
But later, she would pull down the post after it emerged that the popular comedian had committed suicide.
"Mtu akisema anajiua na aue watoto utafanyaje advice please," she wrote.
By the time of going to air, two of his friends, Babu G and reporter Steve Dete had confirmed the tragic news.
