Renowned TV host Tony Gachoka has mocked Deputy President William Ruto after he dismissed the ongoing debate on referendum.
Taking to Twitter on early Sunday morning, Ruto termed calls to amend the constitution as distraction which were aimed at the President Uhuru Kenyatta-led Jubilee administration.
He rubbished the referendum talk and 2022 succession politics, saying the governing outfit was focused on achieving its election pledges.
"The JUBILEE administration will NOT be distracted from delivering on our manifesto and HE's big 4 plan by those engaged in the raging debate on Punguza Mizigo, BBI or the 2022. They should be objective, truthful and conduct a honest conversation that is in the BEST INTEREST OF US ALL," Ruto posted.
Reacting to the tweet, Gachoka, who hosts Point Blank Show on KTN, ridiculed the DP and wondered whether he still thinks his word is taken as government's position.
The veteran journalist accused Ruto of doing contrary to what the President's wants done and wondered whether the DP's declaration on referendum debate should be treated as fake news.
"Does DP Ruto actually still think he speaks for the Jubilee administration? Does he speak for Uhuru's Big 4 agenda? Is his tweet propaganda/fake news? Isn’t all he does the opposite of Uhuru and his handshake aspirations? Over to you," Gachoka tweeted.
