With the 2019/20 Kenya Premier League season only five weeks away, here we rate five key signings Ingwe have so far completed.
Tresor Ndikumana – 9/10
The Burundi international joins Ingwe on a two-year contract from Amajagu FC in Rwanda. Ndikumana, 21, impressed for his former club netting 9 goals. An energetic, technically gifted midfielder, he presents a major uplift that’s been missing in this Leopards side.
Ismaila Diarra – 6/10
The 27-year-old striker barely played for Algerian side CABB Arreridj, totalling just 595 minutes of football in 14 appearances last season. The Mali international scored only one goal for his former club. Diarra doesn’t score a truckload of goals, but his experience is worth noticing.
Soter Kayumba – 8/10
In his first loan spell at Ingwe last season from Sofapaka, the Rwandan defender surprisingly found himself starting at CB with the first team after fine defensive displays. Kayumba has now made his loan move permanent penning down a two-year contract.
Hansel Ochieng – 9/10
Part of the Nzoia Sugar attacking trio last season, the striker joins Ingwe on a two-year deal. Despite scoring seven goals last campaign, Ochieng has also proven to be a team player - a quality which makes him an attractive acquisition.
Robert Mudenyu – 7/10
The centre back had a solid season for Sony Sugar last season where he scored 3 goals. Mudenyu joins Ingwe on a two-year contract and will hope to impress at his new club.
