Nakuru-based political activist Abdul Noor has accused a section of MPs of sabotaging the war against corruption.
Noor said a section of political leaders in the Senate, National Assembly and the counties are complicit in the scandals that have hit the country. The activist said President Uhuru Kenyatta should think of a new strategy to the war on graft.“If the fight will be difficult because of interference from parliament then the President should just dissolve the parliament and we elect new leaders who are ready to assist in the fight against corruption,” said Noor.“I strongly oppose the move to have a special committee in parliament to probe corruption since the same MPs are the most corrupt” he added
The former chairman of the defunct TNA Nakuru branch also dismissed those saying there are divisions within the ruling Jubilee party.
"As per now I see division where some are against the collaboration between President Uhuru and Raila Odinga. I would like to appeal to the politicians that if they mean good for Kenya then they should support the move,” he said.Noor spoke in Nakuru during an exclusive interview.
