Moi University Student Organization (MUSO) chairman Isaac Choge has tabled his resignation letter.
In a resignation letter to the university's Vice Chancellor, Choge cited a number of reasons behind his resignation.
The University Act 2016 changed the structure elections of students' leaders where all the students would vote for their favourite candidates to a system where only elected delegates from different electoral colleges will represent the other students was the main reason for Isaac Choge’s resignation.
Through his Facebook account, the 31st MUSO chairman informed his subjects and supporters that he has officially resigned by writing to the Vice Chancellor Moi University.
“I have today tendered my resignation letter to the Vice Chancellor Moi University at Main Campus. With my resignation, I left unfulfilled commitments I made to many comrades in the fight, commitments I hold sacred. My service did not end as I would have wished. I have analyzed the best I can but my urge for personal congruence has driven me into this decision but it is one that I accept without rancour, despite the controversy that it might be embedded with.” posted Isaac Choge.
Choge’s resignation comes barely five months after his swearing into office as the current MUSO chairman.
He was sworn in on May 22 this year.
