With NASA leader Raila Odinga still leaving rivals and supporters guessing on his next political move especially after his March 9 handshake with President Uhuru Kenyatta, his brother has given clearest indication yet that the former Premier is not hanging his boots any time soon.
While speaking on Friday in Siaya County, Raila’s elder brother Oburu Odinga indicated that the former Prime Minister may try his luck once again in the race for State House having come short four times before.
According to Dr. Oburu who is a member of East Africa Legislative Assembly, the ODM leader is rebranding and that anybody dismissing him should be prepared for a rude shock.
“I want to tell those who are trying to overlook Raila that they should not write him off. Raila is politically dynamic and more re-energized and focused,” said the former Bondo MP in response to the recent political happenings in the country as quoted by the Standard.
Though he has remained tight-lipped on his next move ahead of the 2022 political contest, Dr. Oburu’s comment may give a new political dimension in the race to succeed President Kenyatta where DP Ruto is seen as a front-runner.
