Governors Alfred Mutua (Machakos), Charity Ngilu (Kitui) and Kivutha Kibwana (Makueni) said their unity is unstoppable.

The trio said they will not be stopped from uniting the locals by politicians with ill-motives.

“The three of us will insist on working together for the economic substance and content of what we need to do together. Other work will come in later. We know there are many people who want to think about us and politics. I want to think about ourselves and what our people can actually gain from our working together, may be what they have not been able to gain and to get in the past,” said Ngilu on behalf of the two county bosses.

They spoke in Makueni County on Wednesday.

The governors have been pushing for the replacement of Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka from Ukambani kingpinship.

They argue that the residents shouldn't back Kalonzo's 2022 presidential bid since there is nothing to show his long time leadership for the decades he has been in power and even served in previous governments.

Mutua, Ngilu and Kibwana feel that Kalonzo is no longer politically relevant after he declared that he was ready to be President Uhuru Kenyatta’s errand boy.

They want a youthful and visionary leader named to replace the former Vice President.
