Kisii is one of the most developed counties among the 47 in Kenya and one if not the richest county in Western Kenya in matters businesses, agriculture, and even educational facilities.

1. Cool climatic conditions
Kisii County is a nice place to be. She boasts of a cool climate which favors agriculture in the area where there are numerous banana plantations and tea plantations. This county attracts many due to its climate. Talk of hills such as Sameta hill(1970m), Kiamwasi hill(1985m) and Sombogo among others which acts as water catchment areas.
2. Educational facilities
Kisii has a number of universities and colleges they include but not limited to Kisii University, and top learning institutions campuses such as African Nazarene University, Mount Kenya University and Jomo Kenyatta University of science and technology.
3. Business hub.
Many businesses are run in Kisii town which makes the town busy and inspires fast growth.
