One of Migori Governor Okoth Obado’s bodyguards has been arrested.
John Chacha Nyamohanga, also known as Mwita Moses Mogaya was nabbed near Milimani Law Courts by officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) on Monday.
According to the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), he will be arraigned later in the day to face charges revolving around corruption and fraud.
In a series of tweets on its official twitter handle, EACC said that the suspect will be presented before the Anti-Corruption Court at the Milimani Law Courts, over allegations of fraudulently securing a job in the police service.

According to the EACC, Chacha’s arrest and prosecution was approved by the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) Noordin Haji.
‘’@EACCKenya forwarded the file to the DPP who gave consent to arrest and initiate criminal proceedings against Mr. John Chacha Nyamohanga alias Mwita Moses Mogaya with the offence of personation of a person named in a certificate contrary to Section 384 of the Penal Code,’’ heads another tweet.
Chacha is an Administration Police constable currently attached to the Governor.
