Nakuru has a group of young men who live a high-end life and date the prettiest ladies around.
They are the direct opposite of their female ‘slayqueen’ and are popularly known as ballers in the lakeside town. Others prefer the tag ‘cool kids’.
They sport expensive and fashionable clothes as well as shoes.
Here are places you will find ballers
1.Tattoo shops and PlayStation dens
Most love ‘clean’ jobs that do not require one to toil under the scorching sun, opting for easy jobs that can guarantee them some money without necessarily soiling their new Timberland or Air force boots.
For this reason, most have rented rooms in some of the town’s popular buildings frequented by fellow youths, where they run PlayStation and tattoo businesses.
2. Rapping
Most ballers are lovers of rap music. They are also rappers and RNB or spoken word artists.
And with music being one of the most unreliable modes of income in Nakuru, they combine it with other jobs like selling clothes or shoes in stalls.
3. Parents
The coolest ballers in the town are children of the rich who draw their resources from their parents.
These are the ones who spend their entire day hopping from one business arcade or PlayStation shop to another, before jamming their parents’ cars to go on a tour within the town.
Most are tattooed and pierced as a result of being idle, some of whom hail from the town’s high-end Milimani, Kiamunyi and Section 58 estates.
