A Jubilee youth leader, Isaac Motari said, Raila and Tuju meeting is as a result of the historic handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and the former primer minister.

"The handshake is reaching everyone. Raila, Tuju's meeting in Bondo is a clear indication of the handshake," he noted.

The vocal youth leader challenged other leaders to drop hard stance and shake hands for the purpose of preaching peace, unity and harmony among Kenyans.

"Leaders who have not seen each other eye to eye should consider meeting to shake hands to end their hatred the same way top leaders in this country are doing. We must be in peace," he added.

Victor Swanya, former Kitutu Masaba MP hopeful, maintained that the fruits of handshake can be seen by rivals meeting.

"It is evident that there is peace in this country because Raila has been meeting main rivals from Jubilee," said Swanya.

ODM politician Samuel Omwando backed the meeting between the two leaders saying there is no permanent enemy in politics.

"Raila should maintain his friendship with Tuju and any other leader who he differs with politically. Locals leaders in Gusii region should also accept to work together and support the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI)," said Omwando.
