Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo Junior on Wednesday collapsed while having lunch at a hotel in Nandi County.

It, however, remains unclear why the lawmaker collapsed after a morning session at the Nandi County Assembly. 

Medical experts conducted first aid on the MP before he was rushed to the nearby hospital for treatment.

Kilonzo Junior was attending to official duties before he collapsed. 

He was in the company of other senators including Yusuf Haji (Garissa) Mohamed Faki (Mombasa) Stewart Madzayo( Kilifi), Susan Kihika (Nakuru) and Enoch Kiio Wambua of Kitui County when the incident occurred.
