Makueni Senator Mutula Kilonzo Junior has condemned Monica Kimani's brutal murder.
Kilonzo said it was unfortunate that little has been done in the past in regard to such criminal activities in the country.
He said the government should take stern action against kimani's killers if found guilty.
Kilonzo spoke at an interview in Citizen TV on Thursday.
He called for a speedy probe into the woman's death.
Kilonzo said it is unfortunate that little has been done in the past in regard to such crimes adding that the government should take action against suspected killers of they are proven guilty of committing the offenses leveled against them.
The senator made the statements after Kimani’s father Paul Ngarama dismissed claims that his daughter was married to South Sudanese politician and former warlord Daniel Awet Akot.
The deceased's father, however, admitted that the two were close friends.
