Photos of Mr Matiang'i inspecting PSV vehicles along the Nairobi- Nakuru highway surfaced online on Thursday afternoon.

Gusii leaders led by former Nyamira County MP Alice Chae said Matiang'i's move to inspect the PSVs is a good example.

"Matiang'i is overworking to ensure no life is lost during this festive season. Other CSs should emulate Matiang'i while discharging their daily duties," she said.

The ex-MP warned Gusii leaders against criticizing Matiang'i's hard work.

"Leaders must put their energies to serve our people. Politicians from the Gusii community must credit Matiang'i's work," she added.

Jubilee youth leader Isaac Motari insisted that accidents which results from careless driving should not be witnessed.

"Kenyans travelling upcountry should be safe. Matiang'i should keep on pushing to ensure there is sanity on our roads," he noted.

Thomas Nyangaresi, a NASA politician said Matiang'i is worthy a leader who if given the opportunity to serve as president will perform better than the previous presidents.
