Jubilee Vice Chairman David Murathe, who is under pressure to quit, confirmed that the party will retreat to Naivasha to discuss leadership wrangles.

"There is total mess in house leadership and this must be dealt with in our retreat.

"We shall deal with those openly defying the president. The team must focus of Big Four agenda," he had said.

Ruto's ally led by Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria are plotting elections in Jubilee which are reportedly targeting Murathe and Secretary General Raphael Tuju.

And on Thursday, Nandi senator Samson Cherargei insisted that Ruto's allies will not attend a retreat that is not convened by the president and his deputy.

"We will not go to retreats organised by certain fellows who want to intimidate us.

"Our team shall only attend a retreat convened by the president and his deputy," he fired back.

Last month, Uhuru reportedly cancelled a retreat hours after meeting with Ruto in State House.

Party mandarins claimed that the President was not ready to entertain 'politics' within the party.
