President Uhuru Kenyatta has several options to choose from with regards to taming a section of Mt Kenya MPs defying his orders, political analyst Dennis Anyonka says.
This comes only a day after he launched a scathing attack on a section of MPs allied to his Deputy President William Ruto, whom he accused of disrespecting him.
Anyonka now says that Uhuru can give the group a media blackout if he feels that they are a threat to his political ideologies, or are becoming too unruly.
He noted that Uhuru doesn't need the small faction of Jubilee Party members anyway, especially now that he is enjoying an additional massive backing from opposition members.
"He has the ability to make the ones making noise get a media blackout," he said on Radio Maisha, Monday.
The commentator added that Uhuru can as well summon the group and directly tell it to cease engaging in early politicking, which is denying him the space to do his job.
According to Anyonka, Uhuru can also begin making the ground hostile for the group as his final shot, in the event that they continue endorsing Ruto's 2022 presidential plans.
"He can push the citizens and carry out civic education so that they don't get a chance in 2022 because they are not initiating any development)," he added.
Uhuru on Sunday fired a warning to the group telling them that they have their political success pegged on him.
