A Ford Kenya MP was flushed from a local funeral after allegedloy failing to clear mortuary bills as he had pledged, it has now emerged.
Vincent Kemosi of West Mugirango is said to have been denied access to microphone as locals condemned him for unfulfilled promises.
The bizarre incident at Nyamokenye is said to have angered Masters of Ceremony who ignored the MP before exiting unceremoniously as a crowd jeered.
"He had pledged to pay the bills but unfortunately he was nowhere to be seen. His phone calls went unswered.
"During the material day, people were unhappy when they saw him and was denied a chance to address them. He was jeered as he left," said Elder Omenta.
But in his defense, Kemosi accused the local organising committee of abandoning initial plan after they reportedly fetched the body without his knowledge.
He said that he had asked the hospital to waiver the bill, something that was done a day after the body was fetched.
"They went for the body before the bill was wavered. The hospital did as we agreed and I do not understand these rumours."
