Expectations are high in Fafi sub-county as Governor Korane prepares to make his first ever rally in the area since his election last year.
Residents now feel the governor will bring them more goodies as he promised during his campaign pledges ahead of the 2017 gubernatorial elections.
A section of residents who spoke to this writer expressed their satisfaction on the achievements that the governor has so far recorded, stating that he was progressing well despite the numerous court battles that he has been facing.
'Our governor has done his best. I am satisfied with what he has done, but we hope he will do more to us the residents of Fafi sub-county," said Osman Abdi alias Ozil, a resident.
Abdi's sentiments were echoed by another resident and businesswoman Sofia Hassan, who said she was contented with the progress so far made by their governor.
"He has tried. Although I cannot say she has done enough, I know he will do more with time," said Sofia.
However, another section of the locals feel that Korane is a disgrace to the county given the recent incident where he was implicated in the shooting of CEC Idris Mukhtar.
"Korane has issues around him. Let him stay aside until he is proved not guilty," said another local, going by only one name, Abdulrazak.
The Saturday rally by Governor Korane will be one of its own since it will be his first public appearance since he was implicated in the shooting of CEC Idris Mukhtar.
