As the 2022 Succession politics continue boiling, Ford Kenya party leader Moses Wetangula has hinted that he will be on the Presidential ballot come 2022.
Speaking on Wednesday evening during an exclusive interview with KTN's Tony Gachoka, the Bungoma Senator said the Ford Kenya party designated him with authority to reach out to the other leaders and engage on the course the country is taking as 2022 politics is concerned.
"I have been designated as the party flag bearer come 2022 with the authority to engage other like-minded players in the country," he revealed.
Wetangula's revelation of being on the Presidential ballot puts the western region vote block in disarray as leaders have been trying to solidify the region in order to field one strong candidate.
Wetangula, however, will have to battle it out with other presidential candidates including the Deputy President William Ruto.
With DP Ruto having made inroads in western Kenya, it will remain uncertain as to whether the region will support its own candidate with ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi also being part of those seeking to succeed President Kenyatta.
Ford Kenya party is one of oldest parties in Kenya alongside KANU with its largest support base in Western part of Kenya especially Bungoma and TransNzoia region since its founders were from those regions.
