A former MP has revealed why she lost her seat during the last year's polls.
Former Nyamira County Women Representative Alice Chae on Thursday claimed that ODM party made her to lose to Jerusha Momanyi of Jubilee.
According to her, ODM party leadership was reluctant and never traversed the country to drum up support for its candidates.
"I lost my seat because Nyamira residents were tired with the way ODM party was running its affairs. The party leader could not make it to some of the campaign rallies to drum up support for candidates like me," she noted.
She said despite her good work, Jubilee party candidate dished out money to locals and won the votes.
Ms Chae dismissed claims that she embezzlement Affirmative action fund during her tenure saying those implicating her to be corrupt are confused individuals seeking relevance in politics.
"No single cent was wasted during my time in office. My enemies should focus on constructive activities and leave me alone," she added.
She confirmed that she has been helping people even after she lost her seat.
