Kenyans have expressed their reservations after Machakos County government revoked Shalom Community Hospital's business permit.
On Monday, Machakos Governor Dr Alfred Mutua ordered for the closure of the hospital following the death of seven-month-old baby Ethan.
Jonathan Musau, lost his son Ethan Muendo through after an overdose of morphine was injected into his system.
Mutua's decision to shut down the hospital was welcomed by Machakos residents who said that nurses at the facility needed to go back to training.
They took to his Facebook page to laud the governor.
"Finally I can afford to smile. Thanks Governor and may God bless you," said David Gachoka while Jam Jay said that "Kudos my president."
"Those nurses need retraining," urged Mike Mutua. Daniel Jeremy said hospitals should value life more than money.
"Well-done until hospital owner begins to respect lives and humanity. It should not be profit vs lives," noted Jeremy.
However, a section of his followers criticised his move saying that it was far-fetched.
"I don't even know why people call you doctor. You have a mental problem. You honestly need a psychological evaluation," said Viney Kioko.
"When you are rushed to same hospital while in coma and later discharged healthy no one takes it to social media. Death is inevitable. How are we sure that nothing happened in between being discharged and when the boy was readmitted?" asked Kiplangat Chrispinus.
