Cosmas Korir is the latest winner of the Sportpesa Jackpot winner, bagging a cool Sh208,733,619 after correctly predicting 17 matches.
Korir follows in the footsteps of the likes of Samuel Abisai, and Gordon Ogada, who have won the lottery in the past.
Korir is a former parliamentary aspirant at the August 8 elections, where he lost. Korir vied for and lost the Konoin parliamentary seat in Bomet county on a CCM ticket, but found his way into the current county administration.
He currently is the Director of Agriculture in West Pokot county."We have a mega jackpot winner Sh208,733,619," SportPesa said via its social media pages.
For one to win the mega jackpot, he/she must correctly predict 17 football matches. Four Kenyans have in the past won this ‘gold’ with Abisai being the first to bag the mega jackpot.
In februray this year, Gordon Ogada, an orphan, won the biggest amount in SportPesa history by taking home Sh230,742,881.
