Somehow, everybody has this inbuilt nudge that wants to be assured that you are the only one in someone’s life. Technology has enhanced that need, where a picture in WhatsApp provides evidence that you are actually loved.
She has been nagging for decades no, telling you to put her picture as your display picture. She says it proves that you actually love her. You do love, and she does not need external assertions to prove so. You love her without embellishments whatsoever.
And so one evening you discover a way to boost her ego. In WhatsApp, there’s a privacy setting that says, ‘share only with’ and boom! You have her picture in the status. Unbeknown to her, she is the only one seeing it. she feels in love, in cloud nine.
But that’s nothing compared to another version of WhatsApp, called WhatsApp GB. If you partner uses that version, you are not the only he or she is dating. That’s a privacy beast.
For example, you can set who sees your display picture and who doesn’t. As such you can set the dps of all your girlfriends at a certain interval, say two to three days. In the minds of these girlfriends, they think that they are the only ones in the relationship, unable to understand why there’s never a picture during certain days.
It follows that you should not be excited when bae puts you on display. Chances are you are the only one seeing that photo. Better, never nag your bae into putting a profile picture of you. It doesn't add anything to the relationship. If he or she loves you, they do.
