Tanzanian Bongo star Raymond Shaban Mwakyusa popularly known as Rayvanny recently shared photos depicting his lavish lifestyle, precisely his palatial home.
The 'Tetema' hit singer who works under Diamond Platnumz's WCB Wasafi, took to his Instagram account on Tuesday where he shared a series of photos with his lover and their kid at their home.
His home attracted online debates, most people addressing his house as a symbol os success for Rayvanny.
However, Diamond's manager, Sallam SK, who was on Wednesday asked about Rayvanny's house, raised more questions than answers.
Speaking on Wasafi FM Radio, Sallam could not reveal if the house belonged to Rayvanny or was a rented one. He argued that as far as one can manage to rent, it means he is able to own the house.
"If you can manage to afford staying at given rich residential area, it is already owning the house, if he (Rayvanny) can manage to pay the rent the owner of the house cannot come and sleep in the house, meaning the house is his, you are the boss, the owner cannot just enter the house. (unajua ukisha-afford kuishi sehemu ambayo ni nzuri ni tayari kama unaimiliki... lakini wakati anazo, amepangisha, tayari, mwenye nyumba haezi kuja kulala pale ata kama kalipa kodi, sasa nyumba ni ya kwake, si kalipia, ukisha kuwa na uwezo wa kulipia ata mwenye nyumba akija haingii...)," said Sallam
Sometime back, another WCB artiste, Mbosso posted a house on social media and it emerged later that it was rented. It sparked debates on social media where poeple said WCB artistes were faking lifestyle.
Sallam concluded that artistes need to invest in music before rushing to buy houses and big cars. He said buying houses and later lacking the capital to push their music forward is lack of dreams and short term show offs.
