The bodies of Hesborne Nyamweya and Geoffrey Onjoki were found inside an NYS camp in Lambwe, after allegedly stealing a phone from a top NYS officials.

Initial reports indicated that the three were killed on Sunday, following allegations that they stole from the official while he was drinking at Nyadenda Trading Center on Saturday.

The incident was confirmed by county Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Daniel Wachira who said that a probe has been launched.

On the other hand, the NYS denied the claims, arguing that the two who were killed elsewhere and dumped in the camp.

However, Odhiambo, a villager, said that he witnessed the two being assaulted by NYS officers near his home.

“The NYS youths were assaulting the men near my home. I got out of the house and watched them beat up the young men as they took them away,” he told the Standard on Tuesday.

“NYS is a protected area where civilians cannot access to dump bodies of people who have been lynched,” he said.
