A pastor in Boruma village, Nyachururu in Ting'a, Nyamira County shocked members of the public on Wednesday after he threatened to behead a man who accused him for having an illicit love affair with his wife.
Villagers noted Charles Omoke, who preaches at a local church in Kisii County, said he will behead Ben Nyariki in two months time if he won't apologize.
"Omoke is mourning his elder brother's wife. Nyariki accused him of having an illicit affair with his wife the claims the pastor dismissed prompting him to threaten to behead Nyariki," said Innocent Ariemo.
Mr Ariemo said Nyariki vowed that he will not apologize on grounds that the pastor has been chasing married women for sex.
Area community policing chairman Ibrahim Nyangoto said once the pastor will finish mourning the matter will be heard before elders before necessary action is taken.
"We will not allow the two fight because of love. Elders will sit and discuss the allegations leveled against the pastor next week," he said.
Nyangoto said this was not the first time the pastor was being accused of having illicit affair with married women.
