Residents of Nyachichi area in Kemera, Nyamira County were treated to a rare drama after a married woman was busted in the act with her neighbour.
Confirming the incident, area community policing Richard Morumbwa said, Angeline Nyaboke sneaked into her neighbour Amos Mosoti's bedroom where they were caught red handed doing bad manners.
"Nyaboke is married but she has been engaging in illicit sex with Mosoti who separated with his wife several months ago. A local who went to check Mosoti in his house found the two lovebirds in the act and raised alarm," said Morumbwa.
Morumbwa said the two were given a dog's beating before Nyaboke revealed that her husband who works in Kericho as a tea picker has never returned home since November last year.
"The woman,who is also a mother of one, after a thorough beating claimed that she was tempted to sleep with her neighbour since her husband has abandoned her at home for long," said the official.
He said cases of married women sleeping with men carelessly in the area are rampant.
"The victims were released by locals to seek medical attention following the thorough beating," he added.
